BS 8723

British Standard 8723 is a national standard for controlled vocabularies. Porism were involved in the design of part 5 of the standard, known as DD 8723-5: Exchange formats and protocols for interoperability.

Our role in this was to create a UML class diagram representing the structure of a thesaurus, and to then derive from the model an XML schema. We have also created a development website for this part of the standard.
